where to upgrade PS3?

hi there!

i just set up PS3 and it messaged me
:please:
to continue please upgrade firmware .....

any ideas whe to do it?
how much it could cost? :beer:

I used to have a PS3 years ago. As I recall, it needs an internet connection. Firmware will update over the internet.

At the time, it could also be updated via USB or disc. Try getting it off the Sony website. But Sony has since replaced it with the PS4 (and rumored PS5), so I’m not sure if firmware is still offered for download.
