I think it's time for China to feel the collective wrath of the world.
As much as I feel the sentiment of both of you, that is NOT going to happen. Dream on.
Why? Because:
Your phone is 80% 'made in China' (if not more), your refrigerator is 65% Chinese (if not more, maybe even 100%), your car is 50% Chinese (if not more), your plastic bucket is 100% Chinese, and so on, and so forth. Thinking you could live the life you live now without Chinese manufacturing is sticking your head in the sand.
Whether it was a wise decision to get so dependent on China, is a totally different matter. And by the way, it's something that has been built up in years, so IF you want to reverse that it'll take years as well. But to be honest, I don't think many countries want (or can!) reverse the trend.

I'd disagree. There is nothing made in china that can't be made elsewhere.
Most of the manufacturing capabilities in China were built with Western help. It can be done again elsewhere. If we have to pay 5 or 10 or 15% more so be it. Buy 7 shirts instead of 10. We'll live. Have to get a different phone? We'll live.
Lets not sugar coat this. China knew there was a new deadly virus. They covered it up as long as possible and then acted in their own best interests and kept information to themselves.
They are responsible.
They should no longer be welcome anywhere in the civilized world. If it means war - so be it. Again, no travel, no cultural exchanges, no trade. Zero, zip.
Welcome back to Mao's dream China.

Wars are an old fashion idea promoted by those that want to sell weapons. If you want to destroy your enemy ,,, Guess what the new weapon is you can use to do it.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Thailand seals borders in North, Northeast
Might add, borders between Thailand and Malaysia & Burma are closed as well
https://thethaiger.com/coronavirus/thai ... -northeastThailand’s borders are now sealed to all but freight traffic in the North and Northeastern regions. The third Thai-Lao Friendship, linking Nakhon Phanom province with Khammouane province in Laos, closed at 10pm yesterday as a precaution against the Covid-19 coronavirus. Goods vehicles are still permitted but drivers and operators are subject to strict virus testing. The closure also applies to temporary border checkpoints in Nakhon Phanom’s four border districts.
In Tak province, checkpoints along the Burmese border are closed to people and vehicles, again with the exception of goods vehicles and their crews, until further notice.
In Chiang Rai, the border checkpoint at the first Thai-Myanmar Friendship Bridge has also been closed. About 10,000 Thais working on the Myanmar side of the border crossed back on Saturday.
In Uttaradit, opposite Laos, the temporary passages in Chong Huay Tang in Ban Khok district, the trading point in Huay Praw in Nam Pat district as well as Phu Doo permanent checkpoint in Ban Khok district, have also been closed, with the exception of goods vehicles, and only at the Phu Doo checkpoint.
Might add, borders between Thailand and Malaysia & Burma are closed as well

If there's 59,138 cases and 5,476 deaths (9.2%) in Italy from a population of 60 million, how can there be 81,439 cases and 3,274 deaths (4.0%) from 1.3 billion people in China? Someone has not been telling the truth.

"War - so be it" is not generally a sentiment spoken by anyone who has actually seen it in real life.yong wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2020 11:27 amChina Communist Party has go be taken responsible and account to thisSternAAlbifrons wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2020 11:21 am The dogs of war are howling
