Cambodia News, Phnom Penh: This morning, 15 March 2020, the 3rd anniversary of the passing of Samdech Vibol Panha Sok An was marked by a memorial ceremony and a procession through the streets of Daun Penh district, Phnom Penh.

Sok An was still in office when he died at the age of 66 in March 2017. He was also the former president of the Cambodian Boules and Petanque Federation, and was a keen supporter of the sport.

The smartest man in Cambodian government in recent history. It is such a pity he died so young. only 69.
Higher education, science, high culture, birds, the long term preservation of the Angkor Wat complex, Preah Vihear, all the UNECO projects, foreign relations, economic development, early establishment of large natural parks, the peace process, and more - in these fields especially, Cambodia would have been a much poorer place without this man.
No matter what your politics.
