BBQ Party! Still a great time.

Discussions about restaurants, cafes, coffee shops or bars in Cambodia. Feel free to write any reviews you have, whether its the best burger you've had in Phnom Penh or the worse pizza in Kampot, we want to read it! Discussions about Khmer dishes are also in here, or you can leave your own. If you own a restaurant, feel free to let the expat community know about it here so that we can come check it out. Found a favorite cafe or have a place we should avoid? Tell us about it. Asian recipes & questions are always welcome.

BBQ Party! Still a great time.

Post by OrangeDragon »

So just off of Monivong, north of Russian Blvd, there is a fantastic Khmer BBQ place. The whole do-it-yourself "mountain" bbq thing, with charcoal underneath and soup around the bottom from the drippings off the grill. But... unlike most of them... it's a buffet. All you can eat meats for $7.50 (barang price, Khmer get it for $7). All of the meats are good, but their marinated chicken breast is seriously amazing. A few pre-cooked foods on the buffet as well like fried rice and chicken wings/etc which others always say are tasty. I stick with the BBQ myself and always leave feeling like I owe them more money for how much I just ate.

That's why you pay the extra $0.50. Now you don't have to feel bad.

Good plan actually. Maybe when we start collecting ad revenue, then we'll use it to buy a few kegs of beer for everyone.

That's probably the most feeble attempt at dual pricing I've ever heard of.
