Abandoned Cambodian Husband Drinks Acid

Cambodia News (Banteay Meanchey): On Mach 19, 2020 at 6 pm, a 45-year-old Banteay Meanchey farmer, Kert Khoeun, tried to commit suicide by drinking acid because he was upset by the news that his wife had taken a new husband in Thailand.

Before the incident, the victim received the information that his wife who works in Thailand had got herself a new husband. He was very upset, so at 6 pm, he bought acid to drink. After that, the man had terrible seizures.
The neighbor first took the victim to the Svay Chek hospital, and then took him to the Cambodian Japanese Friendship hospital for better treatment. The doctors are attempting to save the man, but it is uncertain whether he will survive his ordeal.
