12 Yo Kid Charged After Accidentally Shooting his Mother

Cambodia News (Kampong Thom): On March 16, 2020, at 6:30 pm, a 12-year-old boy, shot and killed his mother with a homemade gun, in Toul Kreoul village, Prasath Balang district, Kampong Thom. The victim was identified as Yeth Khoeung, 33-year-old.

Before the incident, the boy took a gun to fill it up with bullets to go hunting birds. Then he pointed the gun at his mom, just playing around. Unfortunately, the gun went off and shot the victim in the chest killing her instantly.
After receiving the information, the police and the specialist doctor went to the scene to examine the deceased, and then the body was returned to the family for funeral preparation.
The boy was detained for case preparation, following the legal procedure.

What can you do to him that is worse than living with the guilt of killing his own mother?

Some kids havereasons for wanting to kill either or both parents so they have to investigate before deciding if it wasan accident or not
