That sounds like a great opportunity. Only $6500 a month for a double front shophouse on the Riverside which apparently they only have the lease for the apartments above on half of? Even if the arse hadn't fallen out of the tourism industry recently that would be difficult to maintain without a very large clientele.I'm assuming the deposit is returnable? :lol:

. I heard the current occupiers are bailing out and that was before the current crisis. They had the bar only. Now the bar and the apartments are up for grabs, but probably those are empty too, or will be very soon.

The current leaseholder will soon be paying all the rent with a closed bar and empty apartments.

Give it a couple of months and the 'real owners' will repossess the place and a new deal can be struck.

OK, I've heard the Swedes of Harry's Pattaya fame were actually on a sub-lease to another barang lessor to the landlord. And now they've gone...presumably couldn't make it work with the wuhan virus throwing a spanner into the works..

Didn't the SEAPS people and/or Boiler Room guys have the master lease?

I liked the food there but it never seemed to have many customers. The only Westerners left are expats and it was always more of a tourist place.
