Day before yesterday they were flogging $80 tickets.
Yesterday the PM banned all foreign travel for Malaysians.
Returning Malaysians OK but into lockdown.
No foreigners in.
But Air Asia so far, is just ignoring that, and not making it clear if the are moving transits thru their main hub.
ie Are they going to keep flying at all?? (i have my doubts)

They are offering credit or free flight changes for bookings until the end of April at this stage, which is a miracle, but who knows what will happen, if they shut down all flights -- or go out of business completely. With Qantas and Air New Zealand dropping about 90% of their international flights it doesn't bode well for global air travel.

The French Embassy in Vietnam is asking French people who have taken certain flights to come forward as soon as possible.
The Vietnamese Ministry of Health has informed us that eight domestic and international flights to Vietnam have received people infected with Covid-19. The Vietnamese authorities are therefore looking for all passengers who have taken these flights in order to test them for the Covid-19 virus in order to prevent them and to prevent any spread of the virus in Vietnam.

Philippines Extends Lockdown

Thousands of foreign travellers need to leave the northern Philippines by Friday or they will be stranded in the region, which has been placed under quarantine because of a growing number of coronavirus infections, officials said Tuesday.

President Rodrigo Duterte declared an enhanced community quarantine on the main island of Luzon that requires millions of people to stay mostly at home and restricts land, air and sea travel to fight the Covid-19 disease.

The drastic moves announced by Duterte on Monday night, which include the suspension of mass transport, caught many by surprise and sparked traffic jams and confusion in many areas.

Hundreds of taxis were stopped by police along metropolitan Manilas main EDSA highway for violating the transport ban and made to wait for hours in long rows on the sidelines. Many drivers said they were unaware of the ban and were eventually allowed to leave without fines.

The Philippines has reported 187 cases of infections, according to the Department of Health, which confirmed Tuesday that one of its officials was among those infected.

Fourteen people have died, the highest toll in Southeast Asia.

Transport Undersecretary Raul del Rosario said foreign tourists and travelers can opt to leave Luzon, where Manila is located, within 72 hours to avoid being stranded, because all flights from the region will be suspended.

When the deadline arrives, they will have no option because all flights, domestic and international, will be canceled, del Rosario told a news conference.

Many passengers jammed Manilas main airport Tuesday.

Some airlines have already canceled flights, complicating the problems of outbound travellers.

As more countries close their borders or introduce travel restrictions, overseas travel is becoming more complex and difficult. You may not be able to return to Australia when you had planned to. Consider whether you have access to health care and support systems if you get sick while overseas. If you decide to return to Australia, do so as soon as possible. Commercial options may become less available.

If you are overseas and cannot, or do not want to, return to Australia, follow the advice of local authorities. Take care to minimise your risk of exposure to coronavirus including by self-isolating. If you choose to stay, note our ability to provide consular assistance in some places may be limited due to restrictions on movement and other services.

If you decide to return to Australia, you will now be required to self-isolate for 14 days. This applies to all travellers, including Australian citizens. For details see the Australian Border Force website.

Contact your airline, travel agent or insurance company to discuss your travel plans and options for cancelling or postponing current bookings, or to arrange commercial flights back to Australia.

All cruise ships which have sailed from a foreign port have been banned from entering Australian ports for 30 days.

All of the above advice has also been provided to Australian Government staff, who have been instructed to instead use video-conferencing and other communication technologies as much as possible.

The Foreign Minister decided on 17 March to offer voluntary departures globally for all dependants of staff at our overseas posts, staff at high risk due to underlying health conditions and staff the head of mission considers non-essential for ongoing operations.

The Cambodian Ministry of Health (MOH) announced on March 14 a 30-day suspension of entry into Cambodia on “foreigners traveling from” the United States, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. The suspension went into effect on Tuesday March 17. Read more.
As of 10 a.m. on March 18, 2020, Cambodia has a total of 35 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control has issued a Level 2 Travel Notice for Cambodia and the U.S. Department of State has issued a Global Level 3 Health Advisory (Reconsider Travel).
The Cambodian Ministry of Education has issued an immediate, indefinite, closure of all schools in in Cambodia until further notice.
As of 10 a.m. March 18, 2020, the Cambodian government has shuttered all museums, cinemas, concert halls, bars, and karaoke establishments (KTV parlors). Any large religious gatherings are prohibited until further notice.
Health and Quarantine Information:
Medical facilities and services in Cambodia do not meet international standards. Both Phnom Penh and Siem Reap have a limited number of internationally-run clinics and hospitals that can provide basic medical care and stabilization, however they are severely taxed by the current COVID-19 crisis. Medical care outside of these two cities is almost non-existent. Local pharmacies provide a limited supply of prescription and over-the-counter medications, but the quality of locally obtained medications can vary greatly. You should be wary of purchasing local medication. Counterfeit medication is readily available, often indiscernible from authentic medication, and potentially lethal.

The Cambodian Ministry of Health has designated three hospitals in Phnom Penh (Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital, National Pediatric Hospital, and Kunthabopha Hospital), and 25 Provincial Referral Hospitals as medical facilities that can order a test for, and treat, suspected cases of COVID-19.

Provincial healthcare facilities may be underdeveloped and lacking the resources to provide an expected level of care. For instance, provincial hospitals in Cambodia expect family members to provide admitted patients with bed linens, meals, and supportive hygiene care.
The Cambodian Ministry of Health (MOH), in consultation with the WHO, US-CDC, and the Institute Pasteur of Cambodia (IPC), has selected IPC as the designated lab for COVID-19 testing.

Quarantine policies in Cambodia are not well-established and may be unpredictable. Americans traveling or residing in Cambodia who are required to observe a public health quarantine may experience austere, unsanitary, or ad-hoc conditions.

Entry and Exit Requirements:
On March 14, 2020, the Cambodian authorities announced that foreigners traveling from the following countries will not be allowed to enter Cambodia: the United States, Italy, Germany, Spain, and France. Read more.
Travelers are required to complete a health declaration form before disembarkation in Cambodia.
Cambodia has placed thermal scanners and quarantine teams at the three international airports in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, and Sihanoukville, and at border checkpoints. Screening, however, is minimal.
