Mitsubishi Motors Building on Fire and 27 Cars Destroyed
Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On March 16, 2020, at 3 pm, a fire broke out at the Mitsubishi Motor company on Russian Federation road, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh. The owner was identified as Lao Sak.
The fire burned 20X60 meters of the auto-repair building, and also the warehouse where the cars are stored. A whole building caught on fire and burned 27 Mitsubishi cars, but the fire didn't spread to other nearby houses.
Three firefighters were injured while extinguishing the fire. The victims were identified as Eth Sokha, a 52-year-old firefighter, Prum Panha, a 26-year-old man, and Pha Somang, aged 23.
There were 18 firetrucks from the Ministry of Interior, the Royal Gendarmerie, the OCIC company, and 1 Cambodia beer truck. The fire was put out at 5 pm.
