Sucks to be a "Phee Noi" coming home
https://forum.thaivisa.com/topic/115138 ... fX_9D6DfOIPut Thai prostitutes "Phee Noi" little ghosts, returning from Korea on an island in quarantine, social media goes ape as 5000 set to return
Fears that about 5,000 people who are set to return to Thailand from South Korea may be carrying the deadly Covid-19 virus has caused great concern on Thai social media.
Many of the 5,000 are thought to be Thai prostitutes working in the country where the virus has taken hold. There are also agricultural workers among thousands who work illegally in the country on tourist visas.

Well at least South Korea is kind enough to grant them an amnesty with regards to overstay etc.

Re: Sucks to be a "Phee Noi" coming home
https://thethaiger.com/hot-news/coronav ... outh-koreaThe announcement comes after the Ministry of Public Health expressed serious concerns about how to handle droves of “phee noi” (little ghosts) from South Korea after 138 Thais who were airlifted from Wuhan in China last month had to spend two weeks in quarantine in Sattahip, southeast of Bangkok. Although the PM believes there are 10,000 phee noi in South Korea, some estimates put the number as high as 140,000.
Prayut says it’s unclear many will be allowed to return home, and that South Korea will quarantine the workers for 14 days before letting them return to Thailand. Once they arrive, they face another 14 days of self-quarantine.
