A horribly beaten man was discovered bloody and unconscious on a beach in Phuket last Friday, and now police say his attacker claims it was all a misunderstanding, writes Tanyaluk Sakoot in The Phuket News:

A young Thai who has admitted to bludgeoning a Caucasian visitor into a coma reenacted the attack today which took place on Karon Beach in Phuket on Friday.

The Caucasian was found unconscious on the beach the following morning but at that time no ID was found on him. He had a wound on his head, inflicted by a long piece of wood found nearby.

They helped his wallet out of his pocket too. From what I read of my dipshit countryman - one more swing of the lumber might have been about right.
