Anywhere, just don't carry $1,200 in your wallet like everyone that gets robbed seems to.

The ones with a generic yellow sign at the front that says $3 massage and $5 for oily and look low rent with girls yelling 'massa you' are red flags. :dragonchase:

In general, the more you pay for a massage, the less likely it is that you will be robbed. How much do you think the girls in the 10,000riel or $3 massage places are earning from massages ? Even if you don't get robbed, the massages are not so good in these places from my experience. The girls are on their phones etc.

If you go to a nice clean place that charges $10 an hour, then you should be fine. I normally pay $7-8 average. Otherwise, you can go to the Seeing Hands (with blind massagers) and they will give you a regular massage without robbing you. I think they charge about $7.

Western food, head out to Battambang Resort, owned by a Dutch guy, really nice spot just a few minutes out of the bustle of town.

In town Bambu Battambang also has a decent selection, despite being run by an Arsenal fan!! ;)

Haven’t been for a couple of years, so sorry if these have changed hands.

That's my favorite massage place in Battambang. $6 for a decent massage, and you get access to the sauna, steam and hot and cold jacuzzis.

I'd just show up. I've never been turned away because they are too busy, so surprised to hear that they told you you'd have to wait until 6.

They also have a decent gym there as well, but you don't get access with massage.

Runner up is Stung Sangke Hotel. I think it's the same price and you get similar facilities included.

I can't imagine getting a massage anywhere else, as they almost cost the same price, but nothing else. I guess those 10,000 Riel places are cheaper, but you might be leaving with ghost money notes.
