Cambodia's CDC clears 4 investment projects worth $17.2 mn

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) recently announced approving four investment projects worth around $17.2 million. These are expected to create 1,490 jobs. Ministry of commerce spokesman Pen Sovicheat said his office had seen an increase in requests to set up new companies in the country, while foreign investment was growing gradually.

CDC Approves Two Investment Projects of Nearly US$14 Million
AKP Phnom Penh, January 24, 2020 --

Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) this week approved two new investment projects of US$13.8 million in the province of Kampong Speu.

According to the council, the newly approved projects belong to K.Y Odyssey Garment Co., Ltd. in Teuk Laak commune, Kong Pisey district ; and to King Lian (Cambodia) Garment Factory Co., Ltd. in the commune of Kahèng, district of Samrong Tong district.

The two investment projects cover the production of clothes, the CDC said, adding that they will create a total of 3,022 jobs for the locals.

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has just approved five new projects, totaling nearly $ 700 million and providing thousands of new jobs.

1: ROYAL CAMBODIAN HOSPITAL CO., LTD. A 1,500-bed international hospital construction and business project located in a prime plot of land on Samdech HE Blvd, Banana Village and Prek Thleung Village, Choeung Ek District, Phnom Penh The investment is estimated at US $ 478 million and will create 1,500 jobs.

2: ANGKOR WILDLIFE & AQUARIUM CO., LTD. A multi-service resort development project located in Koh Rin, Khsach Commune, Sonikom District, Siem Reap Province with an investment of approximately US $ 71.7 million and generating 151 jobs.

3: CAMINA INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. Projects for manufacturing, assembling and assembling all kinds of equipment located in Ou Snuol village, Skun commune, Samrong Tong district, Kampong Speu province with an investment of US $ 2.8 million and can create jobs. 162 places.

4: V&JK DEVELOPMENT CO., LTD. An investment project to build a bottled water plant located on National Road 2, Prek Thleeng Village, Prek Kampot District, Khan Dangkor, Phnom Penh Capital, has an investment of approximately US $ 8.8 million and could create jobs. There were 370 places.

5. HAN WEI (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD. Establishment of a shoe accessories factory located in Trav village, Veal commune, Kong Pisey district, Kampong Speu province with an investment of US $ 2.7 million and create 276 jobs.

4, A bottle water plant for US $ 8.8 million ? Is there a shortage of drinking water in Cambodia or maybe it is for export .
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.

Three investment projects to create 2,000 jobs
The Council for the Development of Cambodia has approved three investment projects with a total capital of US$7 million.

According to the CDC, the three new projects will create almost 2,000 jobs for local people.

The first investment project of US$2.3 million belongs to Jin Ming Li Jian One Co., Ltd. which will establish a yarn factory in the district of Kong Pisey, province of Kampong Speu, employing 180 workers.

With an investment capital of US$2.4 million, the second project located in Suong city, Thbong Khmum province, is owned by Suzen (Cambodia) Industrial Co., Ltd., and will need 726 workers to produce clothes.

The third project also covers the garment sector. MIL United Manufacturing Co., Ltd. will invest US$2.3 million in the construction of a factory in Kandal Stung district of Kandal province, generating 912 jobs.

CDC approves seven projects worth $174M

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) on Wednesday approved seven investment projects worth $174.1 million and expected to generate 3,328 jobs, it said in a press release.

The CDC issued final registration certificates to the $5 million Precise Electric Manufacturing (Cambodia) Co Ltd located in Anlong Tnort commune’s Totoeng village in Pursat province’s Krakor district; the $6.1 million Ju Wang Footwear Co Ltd along National Road 6A in Khnor Dambang commune’s Rovieng village in Kampong Cham province’s Cheung Prey district; and the $7.9 million Imperial Star Solar (Cambodia) Co Ltd in Pich Mony commune’s Chas village in Kampong Speu province’s Kong Pisei district.

Other projects include the $11.6 million hair accessory manufacturer Viscot Products Co Ltd in Prey Nhat commune’s Samdech Ov village in Kampong Speu province’s Kong Pisei district; and $32.9 million car tyre and spare parts manufacturer Sundance Industries Co Ltd in Taing Krouch commune’s Tompeam village in Kampong Speu province’s Samrong Tong district.

The remaining projects are $8.6 million Topec Electric Co Ltd in Sna Ansa commune’s Saravoan village in Pursat province’s Krakor district; and the $102 million Kepstar Data Centre Management Co Ltd in Kantaok commune’s Kol village in Phnom Penh’s Kambol district.

A Big Garment Factory to Open in Takeo Province
AKP Phnom Penh, April 16, 2020 --

Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) yesterday approved an investment project to establish a garment factory in Traing district of Takeo province.

According to a CDC’s press release, with a capital of US$5.8 million, the newly approved project is invested by Cambodian Wuxi Jin Mao Garment Co., Ltd.

The new investment project is expected to generate nearly 3,000 jobs for local people, the same source added.

Over US$21 Million Investment Projects Licensed
AKP Phnom Penh, April 20, 2020 --
The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has given the green light to five new investment projects with a total investment capital of US$21.3 million.

According to three separate CDC’s press releases, the new projects approved are expected to create more than 3,400 jobs for the locals.

The five approved projects cover the production of eco-bags, garment, cakes boxes, fiber optic cable, and packaging materials.

These projects belong to five different companies located in the capital of Phnom Penh and the provinces of Takeo, Preah Sihanouk and Svay Rieng.

US$6-Million Clothes Hanger Factory to Open in Svay Rieng Province
AKP Phnom Penh, May 22, 2020 --

A private company has just got the green light from the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) to invest in the creation of a factory manufacturing clothes hangers in Svay Rieng province.

According to a CDC’s press release issued yesterday, the project is invested by Bayon Smile Hanger Development Co., Ltd., with an investment capital of US$5.9 million.

To be located in Sangkat Bavet of Bavet town, it added, the new factory is expected to provide 682 jobs for local people.

They must all be for export. Cambodians dont use clothes hangers and why should they when there is plenty of room on the floor or bed to put your clothes.
