True, and is not another, but many others. e.g. Costa Fortuna on Feb 16, World Dream on Feb 17 with crews from Hubei, and many more expected in the future.

O dear,

"The fatality rate of 2.3 per cent, which makes it deadlier than the seasonal flu, which typically has a 0.1 per cent mortality rate"

Maybe someone on here can educate me.........

How does a virus like this one come to the end of it's life cycle, does it just fizzle out naturally or do humans build up some sort of resistance to it, it appears obvious to me that this is going to speed all over the world due the the nature of our times, global travel, incubation period etc.
Do we all eventually catch it and just deal with it while it kills just the sick and old or what ??????

Great question.

Because there is no 'herd immunity' to this new virus it must burn out. If there was previous exposure we would have 'fire breaks'.

But its a new virus so it has a field day unless a vaccine is developed in time to slow the spread.

Burnout would see around 66% of the worlds population infected l read. Now thats not deaths. Younger fair well. Older folk with high blood pressure and diabetis etc dont fair so well. Smokers and past smokers also seem to be at greater risk.

Shutdowns help. Vaccine would be a game changer. Otherwise wash your hands and stay away from crowds. Don't go on a cruise in Asia!!!

Get travel insurance!!!

it either kills you or you kill it, in a couple of weeks
so it needs to spread to at least one other person in that time just to stay alive
any less and it will fizzle out

Lol, WTF is 66 percent of 7.7 Billion. ????

According to my very unscientific calculations the death total would be about 92 million people based upon a death rate of 2.3 per cent, MMMmmmmmm.

I think we need a vaccine, HIV anti virals are being tested in Japan I think.
