They been whittling about this bridge for years. As usual Cambodi wants other people to pay for it, despite the number of okhna's now driving around in Rolls Royces (except when they crash them) and the huge number of Khmers with cars. Typical conversation with middle class khmer:-
We need more schools and hosptals
Then you will have to pay tax to fund them
Oh no, cannot pay tax it goes into the gvernemtn pockets
Then how will you get more hopsitals and schools#
Foreigners will pay for it like before

How about a Cambodian friendship bridge built by taxing the rich and corrupt from one's own country? Jesus, the audacity to ask for handouts would be considered embarrassing by most, but has become embedded into the social fabric and is considered modus operandi here.

I wonder if HE will have the cheek to wear his 3 million dollar wrist-watch whilst meeting with South Korean leaders.

ive always thought Cambodia needs to keep people poor so they can go around the world with their beggin bowl and all we end up doin is paying for luxery cars and houses for the elite, countries that put aside an amount for third world assistance in their budget and just throw it around without actually following thru what happened to it, heres $10 mil for de mining which equates in the end to two khmer dudes and a cple of trained rats, they just laugh at us and buy there girlfriends gold jewllery, how about asking for money to invest in hospitals and education and its actually tracked that it goes there.
