Closing the Gap: Australia's indigenous inequality 'not good enough'
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-51469708but is still falling short in many areas, an annual report has found.
Life expectancy, employment and literacy rates all remain lower for indigenous Australians, according to the Closing The Gap report.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison told parliament on Tuesday: "The results are not good enough."

Yep shameful, Australia.
Finally tho' - they have a PM who has just yesterday admitted to himself, the nation and the Aborigines, No More!
- "we have to start involving the Aborigines themselves in the decision making process (Ding.. lightbulb)
throwing billions at the problem (mostly going to whitefellas) in the ignorant paternalist way that we have for the last 250 years is obviously a total failure."
or words to that effect
NZ got off to a much better start by recognising Maori sovereignty and making treaties.
This resulted in the Maori having much greater input into their own destiny.
Whether this market driven, fundamentalist christian, advertising executive, smart-arse-know-it-all PM will actually follow through is another question.
