Cambodia is Introducing (Paying) Personalized Car Plates

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

You don't like the local fresh scallops and sole at Topaz?
Or the wankers who think this olde worlde poseur's palace, constitutes fine dining.

Nose uplifted to just right angle - I'll have the grilled sole, Thank Yoou.

National Bank of Cambodia - here's the new design versus the old one which has now been demolished.

Is this NBC you're referencing even on Norodom?

I don't think it is. And I clearly stated in my post the I was referring to the construction on Norodom Blvd.

Great, not anywhere near the reconstruction of CPP hq, which I was referencing.

Thanks for turning this thread into a soup sandwich spigzoid.

Brody is talking about the CPP headquarters on Norodom near the overpass that heads to Takhmau. Truly overkill in its almost stalinist proportions. There are tons of those CPP HQs littered around the country. There's a huge upgraded one on on Highway 4 now which I doubt they could often fill (well, except when they pay villagers $5 and food to come for a "rally"). I do think they're paid for by rich party members as a means of tribute, errr, I mean party contributions.

Well said.

Yeah, they're really showing everyone where the bear shits in the woods with that one.

But instead of asking any hard, critical thinking questions about it.........once finished, Khmers will just travel past it, say "sa'art" and continue on with their hand-to-mouth existence.
