Shooting in Korat Terminal21 Mall Now

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

All those driving who don't have cocks must be stopped before the Water Festival in April.

Why not just suggest that Thai shouldn’t have soldiers or police, since both are capable of using guns and grenades? (Or would that then be grenade nut logic?). Then your wife can be responsible for your protection.

This is clearly an animal that needs to be captured, slowly (and quite painfully) tortured until dead and then cursed by the holiest monks so that he doesn’t get reborn, even as a worm.

WTF are you on about? Cars and motos are used to transport people. While they can be used as weapons that is not their primary use. Bullshit argument.
Gun nut logic.
Gun nut logic, complete with massively inappropriate timing.

Still alive;

Update at 7:37am:
- Thai Rath TV reporter reported that 4 more people were found, but officials were still unable to take the bodies out. While the drone flew to the hiding place of the attacker But it appears that 2 shots have been shot, resulting in a total of 25 deaths and 34 injuries

3 people were rushed to hospital at around 3.30am from the Terminal 21 mall in #Korat with 1 in a critical condition.
The three rushed to hospital were members of the security forces team injured during a raid on the mall in the early hours of Sunday morning. Sadly one succumbed to his injuries and passed away bringing the #koratshooting death toll to 21

Just unbelievable. And the fact it’s a local gunman makes it more shocking, for some reason.

It's not surprising how this has already been pushed off the top stories on most of the British news media I read (BBC aside). When these things happen in the US they remain front page news for a couple of days at least. I guess the old adage of non-white skins being not quite as important still reigns.

Terrible tragedy.

for now its all contained,he cant get out alive without giving himself up, Thai CSD know if they rush him it will endanger the hostages lives so its a sit an wait game till he makes his move
Hundreds of people were evacuated from Korat’s Terminal 21 shopping mall by late last night following a late afternoon shooting spree that’s currently claimed the lives of 25 and another 31 injured. As of this morning the gunman is still holed up in the shopping mall, apparently with hostages. The shopping centre, and surrounding areas, remains in complete lockdown and under the control of the crack ‘Hanuman’ unit from the Crimes Suppression Division (CSD).
Here a good read; "This is the way events unfolded yesterday…"
