Re: Response to Corona Virus
Food for thought...
If you go to the Russian hospital (aka Soviet Khmer Friendship hospital) or any local Cambodian hospital (for that matter) for quarantine...
There is no food delivery. Being in quarantine, family can’t come and feed you. No grub, no drinks.
There is no bathing. Or fresh linens. Being in quarantine, family can’t wash you, change your clothes or bedsheets.
So quarantine will mean a 14 day fast wearing filthy clothes, on a filthy bed smelling of stink.
Supposedly there are videos floating around showing an old Khmer lady starving and begging to be let out of the hospital.
Maybe better to quarantine at home.

Re: Response to Corona Virus
newkidontheblock I have been saying so, it seems that is the normal method in most country's, but when doing so contact the appropriate authorities, making them aware of the illness you may have or suspect, also them having the information may help if you would start to have problems and needed medical assistance.newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2020 5:54 am Food for thought...

Its like what Duncan mentioned about going into hospital here, possibly the last thing you would want to do, hospitals are full of sick people and germs, even in a first world hospital the same can easily happen, and does. But I am calling bullshit on what you are saying about the Soviet Khmer Friendship hospital any local Cambodian hospital, firstly you go in hospital for treatment hopefully to get well again, I would have thought paying for a service aims for that, also it would be the staffs responsibilities for your wellbeing, but I maybe wrong. Even prisons here you can get a takeaway, But if didn't have food in hospital your not going to get stronger to fight an illness, also 3 days without water you knocking on deaths door.

Of course it’s complete bullshit. I made it all up.AndyKK wrote:But I am calling bullshit on what you are saying about the Soviet Khmer Friendship hospital any local Cambodian hospital, firstly you go in hospital for treatment hopefully to get well again, I would have thought paying for a service aims for that, also it would be the staffs responsibilities for your wellbeing, but I maybe wrong. Just go to any Cambodian referral hospital. There are steaming food carts rolling along to each patient’s room for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And of course, the family waiting areas have hot coffee and tea urns. And the housekeeper changes your sheets daily with crisp linen, while the nurses give you a sponge bath twice a day. In each patient’s isolation room (for suspected coronavirus), all the staff are dressed in full protective gear while doing all this.
Silly me for thinking that Cambodian public hospitals are any different from any hospital in a western country. Sorry for the outrageous lies.

While it's shit in Cambodian hospitals, you won't starve. Hand the nurse 10k riel and a fresh coconut is delivered in half an hour. Money is the key.newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2020 7:14 amOf course it’s complete bullshit. And it's available from the ATM just outside your room.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Re: Response to Corona Virus
sorry, but have to call u out on this. There is no way thy would allow you to starve to death in a hospital, nor refuse to deliver you food & water, (no water for 4-7 days...u'd die most likely), change of clothes or allow you to bathenewkidontheblock wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2020 5:54 am Food for thought...

its not the 1700 in Africa
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST
Re: Response to Corona Virus
Look you don't need to get all shirty about it! How did you not know that I too was referring to bullshit too? I will explain soon. But first a question? What hospital is in place, and adequately suitable for the medical assistance and skills "plus food and drink" for 14 days isolation if someone unfortunately had the Corona Virus?newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2020 7:14 amOf course it’s complete bullshit. Kammekor said money is the key, could be, but it wasn't in my case when I could not piss. I took a private ambulance from Sonja Kill Memorial Hospital, Kampot to Phnom Penh on arraignment to see a specialist doctor/surgeon who could do the operation I needed. I was wheeled up to the receptions desk, and it was explained I had a consultation with the doctor being arranged with me, by him for today, it got as far has she calling him! He refused to see me. No food carts in sight there too.
