Elsewhere on the Internet today

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Violet said this in the same thread: "That does not take away from the fact it's bloody out of order for the owner of a forum (or an admin/mod) to post a PM as a dig at someone you are having an issue with. There's really no denying that."

No response to that (so far).

The name violet is from Egyptian, which was used to describe the colour of The Nile.

From wiki:

In Arabic language Violet color is called Nile and the dye Nilege made from Viola flower (of the violet color) which was dominant on the shores of the Nile River, giving the Nile color as the name of the Nile river. the Violet shade of Blue is called Nili in Contemporary Arabic.

I did post once that she was in denial, but I think she missed the reference...

Anyway, violet, get your butt over here, we need some balance!

I know a lot of posters there and here have had some issue or negative views on him for his moderating in the past... and possibly present.
Being a mod is hard, and sometimes it's hard to know where the line is. Gav and I are friends offline, despite our regular clashes online, and discuss it a fair amount. He clarified something in a thread recently, and it was good on him for having done so. Since I can't post it there...
gavinmac wrote:I don't think anyone is suggesting that OD was into kiddie porn. The porn spammer had posted some kind unrelated offer in the forum, looking for a stand in for his wedding, and OD responded to him by PM. The offer was a hoax, whether OD's response to him was serious or in jest, I have no idea.
Thank you.

- Arbitrary deleting of post. Check
- Arbitrary deleting of account. Check
- Publication of deleted account. PM Check
- Publication of former poster real name. Check
- Suggesting that former poster where into kiddie porn. Check

The remaining option should be :

- "checking" the brake of the motorcycle of former poster.
- "virile" discussion with three muscled friend and former poster.

But the old forum seems quite dead now, the mod must represent 30% of the post.
