This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. Sure. Many on this forum have an irrational near-pathological dislike of him that in nearly any country other than Cambodia would see them sued in to oblivion, but I hold him to be an excellent doctor.

He's a former UN/UNTAC Medical Officer from the UK who married a Khmer lass and stayed on in Phnom Penh as a Tropical Medicine, General Practitioner and Venerealogist.

His name is Dr Gavin Scott, a British General Practitioner, with his Traveller's Medical Clinic at #88, Street 108 (Alongside the Phnom Penh Night Market) and his receptionists HP number is 023 306802
and his personal mobile is: 012 898981 or 015 912100

Good doc, not sure if he has a ‘decent price’ for the OP though.

If you want "cut price" medical opinions or expertise or treatments, then go to your local quack. A dollar saved may be a life lost.

If you are genuinely sick or infected you want quality medicine from the get go and referrals to match if required. If you can't afford medical insurance then you can't afford to travel or live in a foreign country.

Good luck with your "cheap" doctors at the local Cambodian referral hospital.
You will get what you pay for. And if that makes you happy so be it.

It's not without good reason that the rich and powerful in Cambodia seek the opinions and treatment of experienced overseas doctors instead of their own medical graduates. Some of the more recent of which are excellent by the way if you have ever worked along side them. Have you?

OP,

Dr Scott mentioned above charges $70.

Below this topic, there are a number of related topics about doctors which you might research.

Here's a more recent topic where a couple of members recommend Dr Dmytro Barsuk:

Central hopsital near Goden Sorya on 154. most of the docs are foreign trianed, reasonable prices, philippino nursing manager. used it several times for moto accidents and chest infections and also for paediatrics. Just make sure you see one of the older doctors. there is a young Khmer there who is...i say no more. prices about $25 dollars for cnsulations, xrays, discount for Khmer. Specialist heart hopsital.
However Dr. Scott is the best at diagnosing weird tropical diseases, so if you got unusual symptoms go see him. He is also an expert on everything sexpattish so if you have a problem down there.......

Cambodia’s own medical graduates are not recognized in many Western countries, including the US. One living in Singapore was not given a residency position and is now doing residency in Cambodia.
