During the fist days the actual numbers were higher than predicted, but since 29-01 (I think) they're lower.

Then looking at the estimated numbers they had better build some more hospitals. Its amazing they could have done this in Sihanoukville before they left, at least they have a start, while other countries don't let people in, and if its their own people they are going into isolation. But there are some still in denial, its not happening!!! I hope It is a lower effect and less numbers here if it does, there will be nothing here for the sick.

Always "hope" but never "expect".

Really? The number of infected now stands at 17,000, so about one third of the number 'predicted' in that table for Feb 3. Same for the number of deaths, also roughly one third.

You can t trust an authoritarian regime to tell the truth.

President Trump declared that "no Americans were harmed" in the attacks on Iraqi bases housing U.S. troops.

But the Pentagon later contradicted those remarks, first noting in a formal statement that 11 service members had been injured, then 34 — and, just earlier last week, 50. The Department of Defense announced late Thursday that at least 64 service members have been diagnosed with traumatic brain injury, or TBI. Do you really think the communist party of China is more truthful than the leader of the free world? Sad to see how far we have fallen.

I could not agree with you more, but looking at the above figures posted, "predicted" numbers granted. Number of beds in the new hospital 1,000. how long is a patient to be in isolation and cared for, then after that time a bed is free for someone else who is sick due to the infection.
Always "hope" but never "expect".

Sad to see all the folks swallowing the western mass media doom porn. Meanwhile, the Vietnamese are on it:

First nCoV patient discharged in Vietnam
A Vietnamese woman has been discharged from hospital after doctors declared her free of the new coronavirus she was found infected with.
Nguyen Thu Trang, 25, a native of Thanh Hoa Province in north central Vietnam, was released from the provincial general hospital Monday morning.

"The patient has had no fever for six days in a row and her health is now in stable condition. Two latest tests for the nCoV novel coronavirus has showed negative result," said hospital director Nguyen Van Sy.

4,000 US troops are scheduled in Pattaya for the annual Cobra Gold military exercises this month, be interested to see if that goes ahead. 1 case of infection on the confined space of an aircraft carrier could be risky.

Bit disconcerting to read the guy that died in the Philippines was only 44.

Great she recovered. Sad that another person died because of the virus. The numbers of recovered and died people are more or less the same. Not a great score in my opinion.

As a Chinese speaker, I'm more surprised to see someone believing the Chinese propaganda on lightening the crisis.
