Greta Thunberg's climate change speech

There is an old joke. If communists held power in the Sahara desert, there would be shortages of sand. It’s not funny because it’s true for those who lived through that. So i don’t believe another system would satisfy needs better than what we have now. Much of what you now view as needs will be seen as luxury if you don’t have free market economy.

you are conflating several concerns
and you jumped to 'communist' when 'capitalism' was attacked
hence 'caricature'

Every generation thinks they are smarter and know better. After millions die in the process it’s all back to square one because that is the natural way of humans.

Basically yes. It will stay this way while humans are biological robots. Something may change when we become machines. Not in this millennia, sorry.

lol
try to imagine what 'fittest' actually entails in our modern society
then imagine how 'fit' humanity is if we alter our environment to be unlivable
you can look all these ideas up for yourself, start with 'group selection', and dive in

I am talking about competition of individuals. Humanity on the whole has no long-term plan and is not “fit” to run the planet. Unless aliens come and rule us we are doomed. But don’t worry about this much, it will make life miserable.

See, i am always skipping a few stages right to the end result to keep it short.

Don’t feel bitter about it. Come to accept it and live happily, you don’t have another life, not in this form anyway. We all want the world to be perfect (except maybe a small number of psychopaths) but we are inherently flawed ourselves. Trust in kind aliens come and change our DNA and now have a drink :beer3:
