In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

The ice rink is gone. It's now a gym - "the place".phuketrichard wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2020 10:52 amsounds great have a good time>>>SimonR wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2020 10:46 amYes, and yesphuketrichard wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2020 5:17 pm might help to know

If she seems to be the shy type, I'd pick a place like Metro on the riverside, so she can gaze out the window if there are any lulls in conversation. Uncomfortable silences can be awkward and if there is somewhere to look other than her plate or coffee cup, it can help with nerves.
Or if she's the gregarious type, nothing wrong with going to Brown's for coffee.
Be sure to let us know how it goes.

Good point and if it doesn't work out then maybe he could pick up one of the attractive young waitresses there.Brody wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2020 9:51 pmIf she seems to be the shy type, I'd pick a place like Metro on the riverside, so she can gaze out the window if there are any lulls in conversation. The new upstairs at La croissette is also a nice spot.

I'd still say, 4-5 star hotels offer many hidden gems, for cozy intimate conversation.
