Yeah, both good places for a night time date. If daytime however, Touk has that noisey renovation going on across the road at FCC and Le Moon has no overhead cover except at the bar.

If she seems to be the shy type, I'd pick a place like Metro on the riverside, so she can gaze out the window if there are any lulls in conversation. Uncomfortable silences can be awkward and if there is somewhere to look other than her plate or coffee cup, it can help with nerves.

Or if she's the gregarious type, nothing wrong with going to Brown's for coffee.

Good point and if it doesn't work out then maybe he could pick up one of the attractive young waitresses there.

The new upstairs at La croissette is also a nice spot.

I'd still say, 4-5 star hotels offer many hidden gems, for cozy intimate conversation.
