Man Shot by Unidentified Gunman in Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh, Cambodia Breaking News: There are very little details so far on a shooting incident which occurred last night in Phnom Penh. According to a police officer, a shooting occurred at 8 pm on January 26, 2020 in a drinking place in Moor village (?) , Phnom Penh.

The victim was shot by an unidentified gunman, and was seriously injured and taken to the hospital by the family, but details of the shooting were not immediately available. No one was able to confirm the motive, and the gunman fled in a vehicle after shooting his victim.

UPDATE: The shooting appears to have been a drunken accident. A group of drunk men were sitting in a pool hall, drinking and passing a loaded pistol around, when, by accident or stupidity, the gun went off and hit the victim.
The man who shot the firearm left the scene immediately, and the victim was taken to the Khmer-Soviet Hospital. His days are not in danger, and he has now filed a complaint with the police.
