Three Vietnamese Arrested for Kidnapping in Phnom Penh

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): Three suspects were arrested and one victim was rescued at Heng Long 1 Guesthouse, Village 4, Khan 7 Makara, Phnom Penh, on January 24, 2020.

The Serious Crime Division, in collaboration with the Phnom Penh police force, under the orders of the Phnom Penh court prosecutor, raided a guesthouse at midnight on 24 January 2020, where they apprehended three Vietnamese nationals and arrested them on charges of kidnapping and extortion. The victim, who was also Vietnamese, was released safe and sound.

I never understand why kidnappers like guesthouse so much. Surely renting a small house whithout neighbours Close would be better.

Is it certain that they're all Vietnamese? The guy at the back is happily chomping away; I guess it's not just Cambodians that prioritise Eating over other activities, such as self preservation, saving face, etc
