Good café for a 1st date in Phnom Penh?

Post by SimonR »

That's pretty much the title. I'm new here so if you also have other suggestions regarding good places for dating, don't hesitate. Thanks everyone!

If she likes cats and animals.

Zoo Café is a good recommendation if your date is into raccoons running in circles biting the wall from becoming crazy after being isolated.

Sorry but exotic animals do not belong in cafés and Zoo Café is a depressing place.

Splash out a bit, take her to Metro on Riverside and 148. Oyster a $ a pop between 5-7.
Or Wednesday night at Oskar on Riverside and 110. Ladies night with 2 for 1 cocktails for the girls.

Getting them pissed in a nice environment pays dividends.

Try a sky bar? Good place to keep the conversation flowing, good view, couple of cocktails and see where it goes from there.

Metro also not a bar shout.

Sorry, but a country that seems to have some very nice coffee, a good date is to go to a coffee chain that has some expensive average to mediocre offerings?
Is this a first date idea to ensure there’s no second date?

Heaps in the Aeon Mall.

Starfucks and Amazon Coffee everywhere.

Browns on 110 are good.

There's one at the old railways station on 110 opposite the Peace Palace - has fresh air.

Park Cafe on Monivong is Good - Popular!

Good luck on your Date.

There are tons of lesser known and frequented sky bars,

Kolab Sor, Okay Boutique Hotel comes to mind.

I agree, I went there once and it was like sitting in a pet shop with the associated odours. The staff weren't too enthusiastic and the drinks were overpriced crap made from powders.
Silence, exile, and cunning.
