Re: Introduce Yourself
Hi
I live in Laos. Married, 1 son. God willing I will stay here for the rest of my life. Originally from UK, travelled in the region since the 1991, lived in se asia since 2007. Formerly Nha Trang, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Hanoi, Vinh and Saigon (Saigon for most of it.).
I really like Laos - boring, yes, but beautiful and an ideal place for me to put down roots. I am with a great woman too - which helps.
Visit PP a few times a year.
Happy as a pig on shit.

Re: Introduce Yourself
Hi,
I've lived in the LoS for the past decade. Mostly just here to gauge the sentiments of other expats in the region.
I visit Cambodia once a year... wish I would've caught Sihanoukville before it went further down the shitter. Might checkout Kampot next time.

Re: Introduce Yourself
Hello! I'm American and my wife is French. I am exploring an opportunity for an expat role for an American company in Cambodia. My wife an children would live in PP.
Re: Introduce Yourself
This seems like the appropriate place to clarify that I am not a returning/ex banned user.
Before this week I had looked at this forum perhaps half a dozen times when I was doing google searches for things (usually girlie bars tbh).
The only things I was aware of about this site were Jamie (who came across as a decent chap and who everyone clearly respected - didn't realise he was a moderator), and a bloke with a moustache who I think was actually called Moustache and who I briefly met in a bar in Kampong Cham last year with his business partner (both of whom were nice guys).
Whatever conversations I had previously read all appeared friendly and cordial, which hasn't necessarily been the case since I joined, but I guess that's just down to my content. As I said earlier in response to someone, I am still getting the hang of the place, and what is and isn't suitable content.
I am back to work on Friday so I should be posting less than I have the last few days.

helooo peeps and admin, love what you got here!
Re: Introduce Yourself
Morning folks, thanks for having me! I am a frequent Cambodia visitor...in fact, leaving next Friday for Siem Reap, then PP. I work in medical clinics for AIM, Svay Pok this time and community medical education in SR and PP. It's my plan to retire there as an ESL/CELTA instructor in 6-8 years. I'm a big fan of Searching for stuff and hope not to bother you with to many questions!!
