Missus’ friend just returned from there. She traveled solo. She spent a night on ‘Walking street’ because she booked cheap lodging there. Not a good place for a single girl. Missus wired her emergency funds to stay at the bastion of purity instead. The western pensioners there look much older and more ragged than the ones in the Kingdom of Wonder. She thoroughly enjoyed the museum, zoo, beaches and all the very family friendly sights. One can choose which path to travel.John Bingham wrote:There are apparently lots of golf courses and lots museums and other cultural things to do there, and it's very family friendly and has a beautiful unspoiled beach that extends forever while you enjoy the sun setting over the gorgeous Gulf of Thailand. There is no reason to associate the place with syphilitic tattooed Isaan whores or obese syphilitic tattooed pensioners from the west, the city has had a makeover and it is a bastion of purity now.

A Cambodian woman traveled to Pattaya alone? No way. I've seen a lot of photos posted on Facebook from Cambodian bargirls on vacation in Pattaya. They may not post any photos of the geezer they are with, but they don't travel there alone.newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 5:55 am

I can’t imagine why a man would travel to Pattaya accompanied by a lady. It would feel so uncomfortable and out of place. But the winner among dumb things to do is bring the whole family with him and take his wife and kids for a night walk on the Beach road alongside the line of hookers. I wonder if they answer their kids that these ladies are waiting for a bus.

She’s not just a typical Cambodian woman. She considers herself a foreigner born in Cambodia. Majority of her friends are foreigners. She can out drink most of them and out curse a lot of them. Does that explain it?

of all the places in Thailand for a single women to go, i think pattaya would be the last one on the list, so many better places.newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 7:32 am She’s not just a typical Cambodian woman. as to what to do, head to koh larn for the day, visit Jomtien beach for fresh seafood and a swim, lunch at one of the air con malls.Night time, head to the darkside ( across Sukumvit road) Walking road is for the tourist...

On a Saturday or Sunday head up to the Dolphin Roundabout end of Pattaya second road in North Pattaya just past the new Terminal 21 mega mall and take a 10 baht bus ride all the way along Naklua Road and you'll come to Naklua old town. They run a street food festival all through January turning it into a Walking Street from 4pm with a stage set up for music and dance later. It gets busy so I'd recommend going early grab some food and drinks and walk round to the park at the back of the fish market and watch the sun go down over the water. On the way to or back you can stop in at the new Terminal 21 mega mall and have a look around. There's probably no better contrast of traditional vs modern Pattaya.
A video giving you a walkaround.
A day at the beach is best done in my opinion at either Dongtan beach, right end of Jomtien beach road or Wongamat beach in Naklua. Pattaya beach road is a construction mess at the moment with the ongoing laying of bigger drainage pipes, best avoided really.
A slice of Pattaya market life, Soi Buakow in the centre of town on a Tuesday or Friday. People watching at it's weird and wonderful finest.

Yes sir, I can boogie, I can boogie, boogie, boogie all night long.
Re: Pattaya for a week what should I do
Yeah, I agree. 3 or 4 days is plenty there.
There are a few wildlife parks to the north which are quite good fun for a day out. Get a girl to go with you for company, she's bound to have an Uncle who will drive you in return for money, entry to the park, free lunch etc. The usual routine...

Thats the plan I'm not into still drinking at 3-4am anymore prefer filling in my days doing something other than getting couple of girls from coconut bar or massages,
