Pattaya for a week what should I do

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

On day 3, move your return flight up. After 2-3 nights, I'm ready to leave.

I'm sure that's a bait for a joke about finding 18 holes or else.
I won't bite it although close to.

There are apparently lots of golf courses and lots museums and other cultural things to do there, and it's very family friendly and has a beautiful unspoiled beach that extends forever while you enjoy the sun setting over the gorgeous Gulf of Thailand. There is no reason to associate the place with syphilitic tattooed Isaan whores or obese syphilitic tattooed pensioners from the west, the city has had a makeover and it is a bastion of purity now. 8-)

Hey AtStat, i have this sneaking feeling that all those fat old guys down there have each got a kayak, a set of golf club and an exercise machine in the garage. Gathering dust.
They don't use them because they are too fat, and they don't sell them because they are too drunk/lazy/rich.

Might be a good place to go scouting for a cheap deal.
KungFu wants the golf clubs, i want the kayaks, and you can have the exercise machine to get fit on your healthy holiday retreat.

Seriously, does anyone have any idea if this may be a good place to hunt out second hand kayaks?
Rarely an ad in the Pattaya classifieds - but i still have this sneaking feeling there is a quiver of kayaks down there, stashed away gathering dust.

What can you do? Change your plans.

There are so many better places in Thailand than Pattaya.

Share your main reason for the travel, and maybe we can give you some alternative locations.
