Koh Kong: According to preliminary reports, a drone with ID number 1701002 crashed In Geography, Smach village, Koh Sdach commune, Kiri Sakor district, Koh Kong province, was discovered this morning on January 17, 2020.
Police in Koh Kong province have told media earlier that authorities are now investigating the source of the vehicle. This is it. More details will be available later.

Happens often enough. Usually Thai UAV's. But typically they explode, not crash land.

It's definitely not for sale down the local hobby shop.

It appears to be the Thai Military as the range is short.

Hard to be sure from looking at the pictures, but appears that an explosive trigger hatch opened and it deployed an emergency parachute.

Koh Kong (FN), Jan. 17 – An unidentified drone fell into a forest in Kiri Sakor district of Koh Kong province on 16 January 2020.

Brigadier General Sam Khit Vien, provincial police commissioner, confirmed to Fresh News on Friday that no damages or casualties reported and that police is investigating and searching for the owner.

It's a Chinese Rainbow Series CH-92A drone made by CASC.

Apparently it had an oil failure.
