£45 from BKK to Siem Reap next week with Air Asia on top of a £500 London-BKK return with Qatar last week. Very happy with those deals.
Yes sir, I can boogie, I can boogie, boogie, boogie all night long.

I just flew BKK Air return. The BKK Air lounge at PNH has been moved to gate 5 and is a scrawny little patch compared to what it was before. All comfort and food services cut considerably. Don't know if they are renovating downstairs near the former lounge, but I did see a new terminal under construction before the main terminal entrance on Oct. 11.Sailorman wrote:I spend the little extra money and fly Bangkok Air PP-BKK. I set in their airport lounge in PP and drink their drinks/eat their food, get a complete meal on the way to BKK and land at a real airport that has the skytrain to downtown or Bell travel to Patts.
Also flight PG939 to PNH was delayed 3 times (adding up to 1 hr, 20 mins late), allegedly because of heavy air traffic. Yeah, right. Took PG930 back to BKK. Overall, BKK Air was looking decidedly sloppy on my two flight days. Spent 7100 baht (only booked 2 weeks in advance) and am now reconsidering whether it's worth it to arrive in non-rush-hour in both cities. Thinking there's not much difference except AA saves thousands of baht, if purchased in advance.

Good news. Hope this works for me the end of November.giblet wrote:A travel agent told me that K6 flights from PNH-BKK will start up again in high season.

I read some place that the jets were repossessed but this isn't confirmed but they were new aircraft. I will say when I flew with Cambodian Angkor Air the flights were always on time, at good times, never full, and having an actual gate in BKK makes for a nice inexpensive trip to PNH. Bus gates always make me nervous due to terrorism along with climbing up the unstable staircase leading into the aircraft. I actually saw a young boy slip and fall all the way down.
