A Very Sad Expat Story in Kampot - BUT with Happy Ending

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

If that's how you think, then it was well past time to leave Cambodia. Lucky Vietnam, pieman is here. :plus1:
Hope you will do good business with your pies and good luck in your future life.

Pieman- You're on a slippery slope on CEO if you are going to disparage and insult khmers at every opportunity as you seem to have done lately on this topic and another. We understand you were asked by the authorities to leave the kingdom and that you may have sour grapes over that. Nevertheless, that doesn't mean you can make broad brush negative generalisations about khmers here which many expats would likely consider offensive and inappropriate. So going forward, refrain from doing this or you will find yourself on permanent holiday from CEO. Thanks.

Sometimes we look must inwards and consider if the people we are associated with, are the true reflection of ourselves.
Slow down little world, you're changing too fast.

A Very Sad Expat Story in Cambodia

There once was a Pieman, and he baked loads of pies every day. Many people were excited about these pies as pies were very hard to come by in the isolated hamlet they lived in.
People would walk by his house and catch the beautiful aroma of baking pies. They gathered around on the street nearby to buy the delicious pies when they were ready.
Unfortunately for the friendly local people, the pies never arrived. The cruel fellow was eating all the pies himself. He eventually reached a fearsome size.
He would lean off his balcony like King Kong, stuffing pies in his cake-hole while scoffing at the peasants gathered below.
An official who was passing by noticed the hullabaloo and stopped. He thought how cruel it was for this fellow to taunt the citizens like this.
So the next day the official went and got the Pieman blacklisted for tax evasion etc, he was banished forevermore from the kingdom and had to take refuge in the land of the Yuon.
Silence, exile, and cunning.
