16 Chinese Scammers Deported from Phnom Penh International Airport
Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On the order of General Lieutenant Keat Chanthareth, director of the Department of Immigration, Lieutenant Hong Choeun, director of the investigation and procedure office, collaborated with Phnom Penh Airport police to deport 16 Chinese suspects.
Lieutenant Hong Choeun reported that his department received 15 Chinese from the Department of Anti-gambling Crime for suspected internet scamming. Another suspect, who was received directly at Phnom Penh Internation Airport, was arrested and deported for a criminal offense allegedly committed in China.
The suspects were deported on flight no. KR929 to China. They have been banned from returning to Cambodia for three years.
