Belgian Guy in Trouble
Belgian Guy in Trouble
If people remember correctly there was a poster @jd1965 with overstay issues.
A few days ago I received a phone call from some Kenyans regarding him.
I couldn't understand much of what they were saying other than something about wanting to help him.
I offered to meet them at the nearest police post but they yabbered on, so I hung up.
Mmmm.
After I met the last time with him, along with my Khmer friend we were out and he wanted to go to GSM.
I followed him, but my friend refused.
Anyway, after I reported the phone call, my Khmer friend and the Khmer competent authorities have refused all help.
So if the guy is out there - buddy you are on your own.
Let us know the situation...

This is the same guy you offered help to for work, if I remember correctly??
Re: Belgian Guy in Trouble
Correct. I just had a PM update about his passing away. I was offline for a week due to moving house. The phone call from the Kenyans may be important. Any updates via PM would be quite helpful.
Re: Belgian Guy in Trouble
Was the call after his death? how did they get your number? i am thinking he owed them some money probably
Re: Belgian Guy in Trouble
I would be suspicious of the Kenyans mate. This is as fishy as prahok, unless he was known to have African friends. Africans in Cambodia are not that well renowned for trying to help out barang for nothing...
Re: Belgian Guy in Trouble
He was reported dead several days ago. newsworthy/jack-from-belgium-nick-bar-d ... 35317.html
Re: Belgian Guy in Trouble
Yes the phone call I returned as a missed call. A lady answered specifically stating she was a kenyan. then a guy took over the call. They asked if i wanted to help Jacques. As I say i offered to meet them at a police post... I just assumed they were after money or something. I was a bit sozzled. In hindsight I wish I had been a little more serious. I did report the call in case there was trouble..... As I say I was told to forget it as it may have been drug related and they wanted no part of it. i came back online today and posted it, in case anyone knew anything... then whammmooo I received a PM to say he was dead... I will just pass on the info the the Belgian Consul, just in case anything is related..pczz wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2020 3:06 amI would be suspicious of the Kenyans mate. Re: Belgian Guy in Trouble
Only a Nigerian would tell you that they are Kenyan to make it less suspicious. The one and only time somebody talks like that truthfully it is always “hello I’m French”.
Maybe they were wondering if you would be interested in paying his $6,000 overstay fine. The phone call doesn’t have to be related to his death. He allegedly died in Calmette. I guess he had a heart attack or something.
