I'm quite enjoying some of the music I hear my kids playing. You old folks probably won't like it though.

I think for me this is one of the bands all time greats, certainly one of my old time favourites, with a album of the bands creativity and musical talent, with no let up of continues ability throughout the album, and with strong performance.

Ozric Tentacles the album Pungent Effulgent 1989

Pungent Effulgent is the first album by British psychedelic rock band Ozric Tentacles. Released in 1989 to wide acclaim, it followed the many cassette-only albums they released in the 1980s.

The album's first track, "Dissolution", is one of very few songs by Ozric Tentacles to make use of noticeable vocals.
The seventh track, "Kick Muck" is a reference to the dust in the fields at free festivals typical in the '80's. Popular with fans at such open air venues, its name refers to the dance style at front of stage. The song oscillates between periods of intense, high tempo guitar and slower electronic psychedelia, enabling the crowd to recover before the next bout of "kicking muck"

1. "Dissolution (The Clouds Disperse)" – 6:15
2. "O-I" – 3:58
3. "Phalarn Dawn" (Ed Wynne) – 7:35
4. "The Domes of G'Bal" (Ed Wynne) – 4:35
5. "Shaping the Pelm" (Ed Wynne) – 6:10
6. "Ayurvedic" – 10:57
7. "Kick Muck" – 3:54
8. "Agog in the Ether" – 4:05
9. "Wreltch" (Ed Wynne) – 8:32
10. "Ayurvedism" – 19:04 (CD bonus track)

Actually it's worth putting this here too, you never know the first album may grow on you, then at least you have the second to try.

Erpland is the second studio album by British psychedelic rock band Ozric Tentacles. It was originally released on 25 June 1990 on Dovetail Records, with a digitally remastered CD/DVD release on 6 February 2017 through Snapper Music's Madfish label.
"Iscence" is one of very few songs by Ozric Tentacles to make use of noticeable vocals.

1. "Eternal Wheel"
2. "Toltec Spring"
3. "Tidal Convergence"
4. "Sunscape"
5. "Mysticum Arabicola"
6. "Crackerblocks"
7. "The Throbbe"
8. "Erpland"
9. "Valley of a Thousand Thoughts"
10. "Snakepit"
11. "Iscence"
12. "A Gift of Wings"

Always "hope" but never "expect".
