Where was Nick's bar? Was he the owner?

That's nonsense. He wasn't an abused victim here. He posted about his overstay issues and was advised by multiple posters to go home to Belgium.
He responded: "Yeah yeah, heard it all before.
Next you'll be telling me to go home and watch the world go by staring out the window of a dreary bedsit. Ain't happening."
Now he's dead. If he heeded the advice of CEO posters, he might be alive.

That's sad......I had a surreptitious fling with one of his waitresses when he had the bar. She always had good things to say about him.
Then a year or so after I noticed him sleeping on the narrow step out front of some Christian outreach shophouse. I noticed that for months.......I always thought he was waiting on a pension check or something and would soon be on a flight back whence he came.
RIP

What is your obsession with a fund for expats? Most people have friends and family both here and wherever they are from who would help them to get back and on their feet, there is also go fund me. Those who don't have anyone tend to have burned their bridges home and abroad after multiple offers of help over the years. Why you think that expats should put their hard earned money into a fund to help every overstayer down on their luck is beyond me. You've come into money Pieman why don't you start this benevolent fund.
To be clear to readers this post is not directed at Jacks situation or himself, just at Piemans dribble.

I disagree. Guys who have close relationships with their moneyed families generally don't move to Cambodia. Many move to Cambodia because they are struggling in the West and aren't close with their families, and they stay in Cambodia because they calculate that it will be better than being homeless back in the West.angkorjohn2 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 7:47 pm Most people have friends and family both here and wherever they are from who would help them to get back and on their feet,
