Jack from Belgium. (Nick's Bar) is dead. RIP

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

RIP my friend. You were troubled, but you were a good man. Gonna miss sitting around talking with you about Rush live albums and aussie cinema.
I guess official confirmation will come later. Don't ask me to provide the proof.

Ghouls, please don't turn this thread into a shitfest. Nobody needs to hear your "I told you so". He was a man just like you and me.

See you on the other side if there is one.

Sad, but so very predictable. Saw him a few weeks ago at Sorya Mall. He looked like he was on deaths door. Lost his job and second chance and back on the street sleeping rough. Very skinny and covered in sores and stunk of stale urine. He used to be such a decent respectable guy.

Does anyone know the circumstances of his passing?

Sorry for your loss...

May I suggest a guide to death notices:

If you knew the deceased: RIP - very sad - will miss you, etc. Be nice. If you can't be nice, then shut the fuck up.

If you did NOT know the deceased it is either : R.I.P. condolences to family or nothing at all.

It's not that hard.

(And this is the last time I will ever get involved in death notice conversations)

Deleted a comment about 'word on the street was...' by someone who has already been attacking him on here previously. Either way, I think we can all agree that it sounds like he was on a downward spiral which he never recovered from. RIP.

RIP Jack

Know you asked for help on this site recently and got a lot of abuse.

Well done General for cutting out comments from people who attacked him earlier.

Wondered where he had gone, wanted to chat to him but he was always asleep.

RIP mate
