Top 10 Creepiest Cambodian Murders involving Foreigners

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Top 10 Creepiest Cambodian Murders involving Foreigners

Post by Mishmash »

Happy 2020...

I'll start a thread - it may prove interesting.

My vote goes to Srey Choppy of Alamo fame.

What is yours??

There are a few including the US rug corpse (I forgot his name) worthy of note I'm sure.

Ghoulish topic, but I'll play.
If KR days are allowed, then there was some eerie shit going on. The British yachtsmen killed at S21 for example, and those guys seized from the train near Kampot in 1994. Getting murdered by an impoverished airhead GF just does not compare.

It's ghoulish but time to resurrect some of the old cases for the new decade.

Who knows.. Something may come to light if not already in the solved list.

The ones you stated were definitely horrific beyond imagining.

Anyway, is just a list for the moment.

Thanks for contribution

The Frenchman who was found in the car with his half Khmer kids all dead in a lake. Was ruled he murdered the kids and committed suicide. Which was plausible aside from the fact his head was chopped off and put in the locked boot. Ex wife inherited a lot from this tragedy as well.

Uhm, how does that relate to a quote from the article: "Sar Savi, 42, the mother of Vallier's Cambodian wife, who died in childbirth in 2009"?

Sorry - but this is one of the few good reasons to step back in against all my vows.
(i deeply resent having to do so)

I call LIE! Foul lie. (and the "yeah" by the OP too)

Laurent Vallier was the first decent expat i ever met in Cambodia.
He was my first, and to this day remains, my role model of a foreigner living in the provinces.
A better man than almost any of us will ever be.

His wife was a better wife and mother than any Cambodian woman most CEO member will ever meet in their whole lives.
She tragically died in childbirth not long before Laurent was murdered.
So, she did NOT inherit anything

One other friend of mine is mentioned on this thread, and another may well be.
Any more lies, slander and cheap pathetic goulish thrills.... ?
spit

(three deep breaths later-)
It is good, very good, that our murdered brothers and sisters are remembered.
Please pleease keep it respectful, and truthful. A thread like this could be a minefield and is very easily descend into tabloid crap.
but ultimately it's up to you...
