makes sense...all lined up the same way you can see the denomination at the outside corner. I'm REAL sure to do it this way with baht or riel.

Not sure about you but wank and mum are not two words that I've ever used or thought of in such a context.ali baba wrote:

I do that too. I rarely carry a wallet these days but the fold of notes in my pocket has to be sorted - unless I'm pissed - I'm always surprised by the depressing looking things that come out of my pocket the next morning, like 1000 riel notes that look like a motodop wiped his arse on them.General Mackevili wrote:I can't stand it if all the bills in my wallet aren't facing the exact same way.

SC, try this method to get rid of the ants, works perfectly.StroppyChops wrote:We're battling the ants at the moment..
Ant Killer
WHAT YOU NEED:
1 empty water bottle
(Cut it down to about 2" tall)
5 Tbsp of baking soda
5 Tbsp of powdered sugar
3 Tbsp of water.
The very best way of eliminating ants is truly simple:
Take a small amount of powdered sugar (also called icing sugar) and mix it with an equal amount of baking soda (formally called sodium bicarbonate) and water.
Powdered sugar is essential. You cannot use the larger grains of sugar for this..
Mix the two powders together and then place small amounts against the walls or other areas where you would not normally walk but where you would normally see the ants.
The ants will be attracted to the sugar and will eat some of it and collect more to take home to feed others, so all of them will get their share.
The sugar and baking soda powders are similar in size and, once mixed together, the ants cannot separate the two items, so, as they eat the sugar, they will also ingest the baking soda, which they would otherwise never touch. This is the reason for using powdered sugar.
Once the ants eat the baking soda it will react with the formic acid in their stomachs and cause gas. The bodies of ants are unlike humans and they cannot eliminate gas so it will build up inside and eliminate them.

never knew about baking soda.
borax works very well too provided you mill it down a bit.
amazing the simple non toxic remedies that actually work on a small scale round the home and garden.

and to those of you flushing your soup down the toilet, I used to do it also until my missus told me to use it to water the plants. Pass the soup through a sieve to get rid of any chunks, let it cool overnight and then use it to water vegetables, flowers, pot plants...I have seen a massive improvement in all of our plants since starting to do this.

And in order from smallest to largest, and in Cambodia, riel separate from dollars in two different pockets. I also only carry "clean" bills in my wallet for fear of where the dirty bills have been.General Mackevili wrote:I can't stand it if all the bills in my wallet aren't facing the exact same way.

The sugar/baking soda idea has been suggested to me before - the thought of the little bastards farting themselves to death definitely appeals. I'm not sure what effect borax would have on Bong Ch'mar so we might save that one for last. Mrs Stroppy actually found this tip in her big book of everything this morning.
