Careless Driver Dumps a Loads of Pigs on the Road and Does a Runner

Cambodia News (Preah Vihear): On December 26, 2019, at 04:10 am, a truck (plate PP2B-6263) which was delivering live pigs, overturned on a road in Preah Vihear. The vehicle was carrying a load of pigs from Thailand to Ousmach district, Oddar Meanchey. All the pigs' cages fell off the truck on to the road, and the truck was damaged.

The cause of the accident is unknown, but the truck driver, 40-year-old Bun Chunpet, who was unhurt, ran away from the scene, leaving the pigs to fend for themselves. It is not recorded whether any pigs were seriously injured in the incident.

The pigs were all guaranteed No Swine Flu, of course.
That must be true because the law says infected pigs can't travel this road. That proves it.
but it doesn't really matter cos the pigs all mysteriously disappeared shortly after this photograph was taken.
..must have flown away.

I think it's more to do with the fact that the year of the pig is nearly over so they are expendable. Next year is the year of the Rat, so if they were rats they would be in high demand.

So common for truck drivers to run away after an accident. The trucks I have ridden in while moving in Cambodia were pulled over and had to produce paperwork. Road blocks.
I suspect these drivers do not have proper paperwork, and moat are impaired. After, a gruesome wreck in Kampong Cham divers were being road tested for meth and a high percentage were positive.
I recall when there was a cock fighting bust the evidence was sent home with the station staff due to no bird jails. These pigs came with private cells.
