Re: Reliable cattery in Phnom Penh or Battambang
I was assuming that if the OP is arriving in Cambodia to go to Battambang via PP, then she and the cats are arriving by plane, and they will obviously be in cages, but who knows. Traveling alone in a strange country for the first time, with lots of luggage and five cats that are not in cages, seems very ambitious to me. Just bringing five cats to Cambodia seems a bit unthinking IMO.
Maybe I'm a bit over-anxious, but I'm very fond of cats.

OP is there any way you can get the cats sent over when you’re settled?
It’s going to be a big thing for them to be carted around the country.

Once you've read the dictionary, every other book is just a remix.

I think if they were together they wouldn’t be too bad.
Still a huge challenge though.

Hi Rozzieoz,
No, unfortunately my cats are not like yours.
Nope.
Re: Reliable cattery in Phnom Penh or Battambang
My brood is pretty special, all street rescues from when they were teeny tiny. None are actually siblings but have formed their own very sweet cat family.

It's all very well till one gets freaked out and decides to dive on and cling to your chest/ face with their claws.
Much as I love all the creatures in this small world of ours,
I think it's worth taking precautions and putting cats
(and nearly any other animal)
in a safe carrier while in transit.

This will be the last time I spend my time trying to clear up your suspicious AND anyone's suspicious. Is that clear? I'm sure this forum doesn't work like Snapchat an you can read my post as many times as you need. My posts won't disappear. Please read them as often as you need. Relax, feel comfortable and READ. Nothing else.
Quarantine. For God's sake, just google it. It's EASY. Does Cambodia ask for quarantine? I'm sure there must be some app where I can google that for you: type it in google. Just google the app for me to google it for you. Oooops!!! I might be asking for something too hard. Give me access to your PC. I'll google it for you and then, when you see the answer, you can post. Post something meaningful please. As I said before, I'm trying to relocate in a month time and am fairly busy.
Ok, now. As I have acknowledged before, I'm an unexpensive AND thick lady. We do agree, don't we? Well.
Because I'm so thick, I always thought of leaving my cats back at a cattery in my country and shipping them later to the Kingdom. But yesterday a lightning stroke me and then I thought "Fucking hell, I could as well take them with me AND house them IN Cambodia for a while!!!" It took a fucking lightning to get me to that idea, sorry. You know, Anchor, just fate.
And then, if I do that, I have have two options:
- Either I find a place for them to be in PP. I wouldn't need a van because they take one way and I take the other one
- OR I do find a place in BB for them AND THEN I would need a van. BUT I haven't found that place yet. As my posts say, I'm looking for it. Still. IF I find a place in BB for them to stay, THEN I'd post a question in CEO: "Where can I hire a van?" But why would I post that question if I still don't know how will it develope? Just to give the mighty moderators another reason to block me?
I really hope you are having a great evening.

Yes Moy, I might be unthinking. I can't help it.Anchor Moy wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2019 8:51 pmI was assuming that if the OP is arriving in Cambodia to go to Battambang via PP, then she and the cats are arriving by plane, and they will obviously be in cages, but who knows. Again a useful post!
