track your bar girl-friend-ONE NATION, TRACKED

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Don't you love it you take a few photos with your phone next day you get a message "share your photos with friends" W.T.F
Are they, whoever they are looking at my photos?

No google on my phone. NO tracking .

If your cell phone is connected to a network it can be tracked and pin-pointed. Carriers have the ability to use triangulation or trilateration. It’s why people use burner phones. Law enforcement will often work with a carrier to locate a given number but if that number is not associated with an actual person (who would have to register it in their name) it doesn’t stop them tracking its whereabouts. Linking a phone that hasn’t been registered to a person becomes trickier though... that’s why carriers give tempting freebies when you buy a SIM card.

Can you really change the IMEI number? I have a locked phone that needs a new number. Anyone want to buy an Australian iPhone XR with very low miles but locked in Australia.

The IMIE is factory set to each handset. You can change the sim but changing the IMIE, while possible, requires specific technical equipment. Also, a lot of countries are making, or have already made, changing the IMIE number illegal.

This article, from India, mentions 18,000 units With the same IMIE number!
