Re: Post Office costs and delivery times, arrival
Actually price is a factor... there are many things that can be ordered and delivered from within the US- so that is an alternative to buying something in Cambodia and sending it.
Some of the gift items I could send are also quite low cost. Spending 5-10 times the price of the object for shipping is kind of silly. If it is expensive then I can just deliver it in person on my next trip.

You will find out prices start at 72.000r for a parcel by snail mail weighing 250 grams.
You will also see up to 1 kg is the same price.

Depends where its going. I sent something to UK by EMS a month ago from the PO in Aeon mall $35 for 500grams arrived in 4 days, quicker than DHL and a third the price. Unbelievable, must have been an accident
Just had a letter delivered from europe ordinary registered mail 3 weeks, 2 weeks of which were spent in Hongkong due to "disruption" cost $5, and 1 week at phnom penh post office cos the postman could not find my address and couldnt be arsed to phone
