Battambang To Be Smoke-Free City in 2020

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Is that 6 per year??? per day?? or hopefully per hour :beer3:

Wasn't there a ban on smoking in Phnom Penh at some stage ? I vaguely remember a story where police were going around the bars and threatening to fine them if they found any ashtrays. That didn't last long.

But seriously, they should do something about those trucks that send out clouds of black smoke. That's terrible pollution for families living on the roadsides.

There is a nationwide ban on smoking in restaurants/ workplaces but it's ignored in most places.

I'm not 100% sure but I seem remember Sharky was giving out empty beer cans to smokers instead of ashtrays a few years ago? Supposedly to satisfy the new law...

Why do smokers still think it's ok / cool to stick out everyone around them, don't they like to taste what thier eating.
