When high loads meet low overhead wires

I have seen a truck with a high load driving in town. They had a boy walking in front, with a long stick, lifting the overhead wires, and other boys in top to ensure the wires did not catch on any part of the load.

When they drive on the open road, they can't have a boy walking in front. So they need another method.

They attach long sticks, or pieces of bamboo, or PVC conduits, which lift the wires as the high loads go under them.

Some overhead wires are higher or lower than others. If you follow one of these trucks, you will see the lower wires getting flicked up as the truck drives under them.

Only in Cambodia.

Did you not explain to them they could make the truck lower by letting the air out of the tyres or by buying a smaller truck.
