Where do the non working girls go?

Been here a couple of weeks, over the girly bar scene now. Where do the non working girls go for a night out? Looking to find someone with a real job and hasn’t been around the block lol. I know about the clubs but are there any bars around where one could meet a decent girl/woman?

Decent Cambodian women don't go out to bars to get chatted up by white guys.

although bedazzler does have a point Depends on your definition of "decent" there are thousands of nice khmers ladies who are very conservative who literally just go to cinemas, the various malls and khmer restaurants and BBQ places and tend not to drink and would run a mile from a foreigner unless you spoke khmer and were in it for the long game.

Then there is an element who have money (their own or family) and enjoy western influences who would tend to go to classier places - e.g. the bars around Bassac Lane, Hub Street Cocktaills, Cloud, Eden Mall (Ostra oyster bar and others), Oskar (although you also get a mix of grey girls there), higher end bars, battbong bar, various sky bars - Veeha and Eclipse seems popular, certain Khmer clubs - Vito, Domrey lounge, EPIC, bars in Russian Market especially sundown social club, probably the new duplex at chinese house as well.

The question is, are you a decent man? what do you offer? many of the ladies who you might qualify as decent would have no interest in your average western guy unless they were serious about being here long term, with a good stable job and ready to offer some form as well as not being a complete party animal. The fact that you've "done the girl bar scene" suggests you are hardly the catch that any of these decent ladies would be interested in.

If you mean a non-prostitute then go to any bar apart from those in the red light district

Are you planning to stay a long time?

I suggest start learning the language. If you speak the language, and are outgoing, you are likely to meet a lot of girls.

There are no set places. You can meet them anywhere.

Also get to understand the culture. Many girls wont want to be seen with you, as others may think badly of them. There are some who aren't concerned, and are happy to be your friend.

If you were back home and met a woman who had a real job, do you not think she'd probably 'been around the block' in her late teen/early 20s? Same here methinks. I think you perhaps need to have a scale of "around the block" and let us know how many tyre kickers you deem acceptable - 1, 100?

Once determined, I suggest Ballsack Lane, Metro Mara, Rokku (in that order), and for a whole legion of "around the blockers" that might still fit the scale, Vito nightclub where you can pick up some top quality models who usually would be way out of your league - certainly seems the case whenever I've been there which is about once in a blue moon (good for those blokes!)

If you're looking for "real job + virgin" territory, may I suggest any of the business association events (Amcham, Britcham, AusCham, etc) where there are still some vintage "models" knocking around with no scratches! This will require knowledge of the language, and an ability to negotiate extremely old fashioned values and family outlook; i.e. buy her a house, marry and then perhaps you might get some action once a year.

Also, I'm assuming you also have not yet been around the block yourself, because a woman with a real job and perhaps your ideal virgin, also perhaps doesn't want a guy who doesn't have a job and himself has been around the block? Your ability to pickup top brass women will depend heavily on her own success - generally women like to marry UP, not down - very rare to see a top female lawyer married to a grease monkey or an English teacher, but maybe @Cam Nivag can expand on that with his wonderful observations.

the young ones: very tight control exercised by their parents
older ones with careers or property: hard as rock and looking at your wallet.

It may sound strange but I know two girls that work in a bar and they have never ever gone out with a guy before , infact I dont even think a guy has ever even held their hand , been kissed or any more , so I think there must be a lot more like that , it's just a matter of meeting them.

ill also add that your decent Khmer girls will more likely go to a Family KTV with their friends if they was to go out and drink, or to the beer garden restaurant places, i often go with my Khmer friends, was at a nice place on Koh Pich the other day with a lady friend and her best friend,
but i find Khmers like going out to socialise with friends, not off out on the pull, and would probably be embarrassed if you tried doing so, unless youre a cute guy of similar age and can speak some Khmer lol
and as multipox mentioned, most decent girls will usually have to be home at a reasonable time (8/9pm)

with you being here only a couple of weeks, it seems you still have quite a bit to learn about Cambodian culture, there are some great decent grey girls about, but the vast majority of decent ones ive met have been girls ive met through khmer friends, not ones ive pulled in a bar or club, the ones ive met there arent much better than bargirls tbh, fine if you just want a jump, but sometimes not worth the hassle

Cambodia is still poorer per person than India so it's not like they live a middle class lifestyle by our standards
