I thought you could get around that by signing a waiver agreeing to pay your own return ticket if needed.

Evisa's applied for! Woot woot!
Seeing as we've no actual timed stay for our visit to Cambodia we thought it best to get out eVisa's arranged as will be over the 14 days.
Submitted, paid and now the wait!
E visa is a good idea, because otherwise if you have no return ticket and tell the airline staff that you have no actual timed stay for your trip to Cambodia, they may not have let you check in for the flight.
That's the reason we did, same as we had to buy our flights OUT of Thailand too, to show we weren't staying over the 14 days there too.
We DO have our flight booked for BKK-LHR too as proof of exit.

So damned confusing!
At least I'll know what to do next time I come to visit!

Oh my!
I'm excited as I've never been anywhere quite like these countries before.
Only boring old Turkey, Tunisia and The Algarve.
So, absolutely !

I agree about the Algarve but I didnt find Turkey or Tunisia remotely boring, did you travel much when you were there?

If you think those trips were boring just wait until you see Phnom Penh.

Bring a good book if you don’t fancy drinking during the day with retired members of various special forces.
