JC Airlines launch Sihanoukville - Bangkok route

Do you have a Cambodian trip report you want to share? Post it here, and feel free to link to your blog if it's a travel blog for Cambodia, South East Asia, or anywhere really. You can ask and answer questions about travel advice in Cambodia or just share your pictures and videos with us. Most people who live in or visit Cambodia have also checked out nearby countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, and you can get to most of these countries by traveling overland, so put any travel plans, reviews or questions here. Discussions about dirt bike trails in here as well.

Thais coming for the casino action? Chinese adding another leg to their holidays? Business people for the special economic zone?
And gaming workers in sihanoukville (i.e. malaysians, viernamese) wanting a break from the giant construction site that is SHV.

It's been success. AirAsia has now daily KL-SHK flights (before 3 times a week) and both SHK-BKK and SHK-KL have high load factors. What I have heard, it's around 90% on both routes all the time. No wonder Bangkok Airways wants a share of it. And lately there has been rumour that if AirAsia actually will form AirAsia Cambodia branch, Sihanoukville could even be their main hub.
Sihanoukville’s a regional darling

Flights from Sihanoukville to international destinations Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur, operated by Thai AirAsia and AirAsia Berhad respectively, have high load factors and are doing great! This is good news as the Thai AirAsia route only began in July of this year, and AirAsia Berhad's Kuala Lumpur route is maintaining its high load factor after having increased its frequency to daily operation. Domestic traffic is slightly lower than usual, but two airlines are standing out: Cambodia Airways' new service between the coastal town and Siem Reap is on the up, performing better than last month, and Lanmei Airlines' new route to Phnom Penh has a sturdy beginning with a 58% load factor.
